Company History
Assetic was incorporated as a strategic relationship between software engineering firm Baseline Solutions and Asset Management specialist ACEAM. ACEAM and Baseline have worked together with local government partners to develop a proprietary and integrated suite of Asset Management products. This suite meets the needs of these agencies from the perspective of managing public infrastructure – engineering, economic and accounting systems. The prediction tool in particular assists these organisations to develop long-term infrastructure management plans that enable better decision making in funding allocations.
A large part of our success to date has been in delivering complete infrastructure management outcomes. This program includes training in infrastructure management processes, public infrastructure accounting, valuations of infrastructure, maintenance management training, life cycle analyses, prediction modelling of public infrastructure and development of Asset Management Plans. The training has also been rolled out through various key bodies like CPA Australia, Bond University and the Local Government Finance Professionals.
Assetic has a long track record in providing specialist Asset Management Solutions specific to government authorities’ needs and requirements. Assetic products are implemented in various tiers; organisations are provided solutions that are specific to their needs. The tiered structure provides flexibility for departments to stage their implementation process depending on local resources and skills. Assetic appreciates that every organisation is at a different phase in Asset Management and has different requirements and priorities. We therefore refer to our products as ‘solutions’ as they offer unique outcomes specific to local needs.
Software Background
We have developed a complete suite of asset classes for all tiers of governments. These include 40 government specific classes such as facilities, parks and open space, fleet, buildings and structures, retaining walls, river walls, wharves, dams, GPT units, roads, footpaths, lighting, signs, landfills etc. Our system caters for the key aspects of asset management, ie asset registry, condition analysis, valuations and depreciations, maintenance management, document management, risk management, financial forecasting and capex program development. Assetic has a strong track record and ability to interface with Finance Systems, GIS systems and other third party mobile solutions making it easy for the department to link to various specialist third-party systems.
Assetic’s philosophy is to be industry-centric. Recent developments such as NAMS Guidelines, BCA codes, Austroads updates, WASA guidelines and NGER reporting for calculating emissions are now part of the continuous improvement in Assetic software.
